Sewing machine

I bought my sewing machine during my second year at Queen's and used it to make the costumes for, among other things, a production of Arms and the Man in the College gardens - a step up from dyeing sheets in the Florey Building bath the previous year for a part in Night Encounters

Other commissions included sewing white stripes onto the rowing vests of the Queen's women's first (possibly only, at that time?) eight. I was astonished to find that the College had a seamstress, having never come across one before.

I'm still using the same machine.
