The San Zeno Wheel is a set of three movable disks made in Verona in the fifteenth century. The base disk is essentially a large calendar with which the viewer can track the days of the year, liturgical celebrations, lunar months, and the length of daylight and darkness for each day. By looking at the Wheel in detail, this paper shows how to read a medieval calendar.
